SP software v. 1.1.09.03.31 released - 01 April 2009
This software version includes bug fixes.
- Fixed a bug where the date might skip to the 1st of the next month when it's nearing the end of the current month.
- Fixed a bug where the date and time might become delayed after a reboot of the DVR.
SP-3000 v. 1.0.08.11.05 released – 05 November 2008
This software includes the following new features:
- Added the capability to use Secure Shell (ssh).
- Merged the date/time setup with that of the time zone setup.
- Added the capability to change the network settings from the remote setup.
- Added support for web viewing using jpeg (now works for firefox, safari, chrome and some others).

You can also try updating the DVR from the USB if you cannot get it updated to the new firmware via network. Here are the steps:
1. Format your USB to ext3 format first to place the update file here
2. Since Windows does not recognize ext3 format, you'll need to attach the formatted USB to a Linux machine where you can transfer the update file to it.
3. After your DVR is updated, the USB update will be able to support fat32/ntsf usb formats already so that you don't need to follow these steps again.
4. The update process may take about 10 minutes and the DVR will restart by itself. Please do not manually shutdown the power.
